Glacial Wood Products is located along the Glacial Ridge region of Central Minnesota. The 23,000 square foot facility is home to an arsenal of impressive lathes, carving machines and saws. Glacial Wood Products is able to turn up to 12 inches in diameter and 100 inches in length. Glacial is also able to turn up to 16 inches in diameter when face turning. Whether an order is for one or 10,000, Glacial Wood Products can create your order and meet your tight deadline.

Among the lathes at the Glacial Wood Products facility, the (5) T90 centauro, fully automatic, CNC lathes are the backbone of Glacial Woods turning capabilities. With their CNC reeding, roping, and fluting machine, and their computer aided long bed lathe, any turned product is a breeze.

To support this high tech machinery, GWP also is equipped with a variety of automatic hydraulic copy lathes, shaping and drilling equipment, automatic sanding equipment and a large assortment of specialty saws. To insure that only the best "blank" is used to turn the product from, Glacial Wood has (2) Taylor clamp carriers. This not only maximizes quality control, but also allows for the flexibility to produce any species or size turning required.

Glacial Wood Products is dedicated to using technology to help create accurate wood turnings. New programs and operating systems allow Glacial to create virtual wood turnings to be used in cabinet maker and construction design programs. Among other programs, Glacial’s craftsmen are skilled in using AutoCAD, Drawing Board and 20-20 Kitchen Cabinet Design Software.
